Maps & Data

The maps, imagery and datasets we produce.

Amamfengu GIS delivers project-specific mapping and geographic data. This page summarises the products we produce for the municipalities, researchers and development partners we work with.

Aerial & drone imagery

High-resolution orthomosaics of flood zones, informal settlements and infrastructure corridors captured by our licensed drone operators.

Thematic map layers

Land use, hydrology, vegetation cover, hazard zones and cadastral overlays prepared to municipal and provincial standards.

Environmental datasets

Field-verified data on erosion, water quality, air quality and vegetation health, structured for analysis and reporting.

Spatial planning inputs

GIS-ready inputs for Spatial Development Frameworks, disaster management plans and resettlement studies.

Static map products

Cartographic outputs — printed maps, PDF atlases and reporting figures — tailored to each client engagement.

How we deliver

Every engagement, mapped end-to-end.

  1. 1. Scoping. We agree the geographic area, the questions the maps must answer, and the client's format requirements.
  2. 2. Capture. Field survey, drone flight and third-party imagery are combined into a project data lake.
  3. 3. Analysis. Layers are classified, validated and cross-checked against ground truth.
  4. 4. Delivery. Final maps, reports and datasets are handed over in the agreed formats, with a walkthrough for the client team.
